Ingredients
  

Tomato Mixture

  • 2 cups cherry tomatoes cut into quarters
  • 0.25 cup olive oil extra virgin
  • 2 tablespoons basil hand-torn
  • 1 clove garlic
  • salt to taste

Bread

  • 6 slices ciabatta bread

Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 400°F.
  • In a bowl, mix tomatoes, olive oil, basil, and salt. Cover with saran wrap and let it rest at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
  • Place ciabatta slices on a baking sheet, bake for 15 minutes, turn, and bake for another 5 minutes until browned and crispy. Let cool slightly.
  • Rub the bread slices with the garlic clove.
  • Top the bread slices with the tomato mixture and accumulated juices. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Be generous with the olive oil for richness. Make sure the bread is crispy to avoid sogginess. Cherry tomatoes are preferred for sweetness and juice content.
