Ingredients
  

Beef and Sauce

  • 1 lb ground beef use lean to reduce grease
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger grated

Serving Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked white rice keep warm
  • 2 pieces green onions sliced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1 piece fried egg optional
  • 1 cup steamed broccoli optional
  • ½ cup shredded carrots optional

Instructions
 

Cooking Process

  • Cook the rice according to package instructions and keep warm.
  • In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, rice vinegar, black pepper, and red pepper flakes until combined.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the ground beef.
  • Cook the beef, breaking it apart, until browned and slightly crispy.
  • Drain excess fat from the skillet if necessary.
  • Add minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Pour the prepared sauce over the beef and stir well.
  • Let the mixture simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  • Serve the beef over warm rice and add desired toppings.

Notes

Pre-mix the sauce before cooking for even flavor distribution. Add gochujang or extra red pepper flakes for spiciness.
