Equipment

  • air fryer
  • microwave
  • skewers

Ingredients

Chicken

  • 2 lbs chicken tenders thighs or breast
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil

Garlic Parmesan Butter Sauce

  • 1 stick butter
  • 8-10 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup parmesan, grated
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce more if desired
  • 2 teaspoons red pepper flakes
  • cup fresh parsley, minced
  • 1 tablespoon dry ranch seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder

Chicken Seasonings

  • 1.5 tablespoon dry ranch seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper

Instructions

Preparation

  • Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes before starting.
  • Combine chicken seasoning mixture in a small bowl and set aside. Cut chicken into 3" pieces and toss in olive oil and spices, coating well.
  • Pack chicken onto skewers tightly with no space in between for juiciness.

Make the Garlic Parmesan Butter Sauce

  • Heat butter and garlic in a microwave-safe bowl until partially melted. Add red pepper flakes, hot sauce, seasonings, and parmesan. Whisk together.
  • Scoop out ⅓ of the sauce for basting and reserve the remaining sauce for cooked chicken.

Cook the Chicken

  • Cook 2-3 skewers at a time in the air fryer at 400 degrees for 5 minutes. Flip, baste with sauce, and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  • Flip again, baste with sauce, and cook another 5-6 minutes until internal temp reaches 165 degrees.
  • Finish cooking, baste with clean reserved sauce, and sprinkle with extra parmesan before serving.

Notes

For oven preparation, preheat to 450 degrees and cook skewers for 14 minutes, flipping halfway and then broiling for 2 minutes for a golden finish. For grilling, preheat to medium-high and cook each side for 5-6 minutes, basting with butter.
